Gautam Desiraju believes that if a true sense of “Indian-ness” is inculcated in young minds, professionalism and positive competitiveness, both sadly lacking today, will become a reality. Bhārat:India 2.0 attempts to highlight this with reference to what the author believes is the core issue in India, an unsuitable system of governance that does not optimally dovetail modernity and economic growth with our civilisation, diversity and Dharma. This system of governance, laid out in the Constitution of India, is therefore the subject of this book, specifically how it should be modified to suit the present times.
